I then went and tried Duplicate Cleaner as mentioned above by Erik. So i needed a tool that would find duplicates, on a more reliable basis than file name, We tried Duplicate File Finder as suggested by xplummerx & KBinIT, but i just had a hard time (subjectively) with it, nothing wrong with the program. I unchecked "Show Free Space" and just screenshot the boxes, highlighted the sector with our users shares and gave them to management to get the point across that people need to be better about what they store.īut that didn't help me with the duplicate file problem, i knew for a fact that a teacher would create a file and save it in their user folder, and then when needed to share with colleagues, copy it to the shared repository, and then after having demonstrated their work to their colleagues, copy it to the repository the administration asks for examples of work in. ![]() It's a great tool to visual space concerns. Echoing where everyone said WinDirStat, as a start. ![]()
